HOW THE DISCO-THEMED
SCAVENGER HUNT WORKS
How does CITY DISCOvery’s disco-themed scavenger hunt work? CITY DISCOvery is an adult-only 21+ team-based disco-themed scavenger hunt, in which you use an mobile app to seek out treasures and complete challenges. You will gain points for everything you find and try to get 1st place on the leaderboard against other teams in your city (but know that you are not seeing ALL teams on your experience- gotta save some fun for the Awards Ceremony). It’s a downtown adventure walking game where teams are encouraged to dress up in disco attire so they are ready for the Disco Dance Party & Awards Ceremony at the end.

Register your Team
Register your Team (5-10 people) and create your team name for your city’s CITY DISCOvery disco-scavenger hunt our website by clicking here.
Register Participants
Share your team name with your teammates and have them register for your city’s CITY DISCOvery event as part of your team from our website by clicking here.
Download Mobile App
In order to participate in CITY DISCOvery, you will need to download the Scavenger Hunt app, Goosechase.
Prep Outfit & Items
In preparing for the hunt we recommend you read through our FAQ section, get your best disco outfit, and bring a selfie stick, charger, disco balls, and a bluetooth speaker.
Prepare to Hunt
On hunt day you will receive an email with your team’s STARTING LOCATION and MOBILE APP INVITATION CODE. Share with your team (only 3 team members can join the app) and know every team location is different – may not see any until the disco!
Starting the Hunt
Meet your team at the STARTING LOCATION you were emailed at the start time of the event. Have up to 3 team members login to the mobile app with your MOBILE APP INVITATION CODE. The hunt will start right on time so don’t be late!!!
Play CITY DISCOvery
At the start time your mobile app will populate with Missions. Each Mission has a certain value and to complete them you will either need to answer a question, complete a challenge with a photo or video, or go to a specific location. Please know that NEW MISSIONS will continue to appear throughout your hunt and some missions have an expirations to them. Check the Leaderboard in the mobile app to see how your team is doing- but you only see a few other teams there so we don’t ruin the Awards.
Disco Masquerade
A little before the disco scavenger hunt ends a Mission will pop up that gives you the location of the Disco Dance Party and Awards Ceremony… go to that disco! Upon arriving at the disco you will receive a mask for the disco masquerade upon check-in.
Celebrate & Dance
At the disco there will be an Awards Ceremony at the beginning, giving out the coveted DISCO BALL TROPHY to the winning team amidst a Disco Dance Party that will go on for a few hours- there will be a cash bar with drinks. Let’s celebrate & disco!
